What Is It?

The Harley-Davidson Wide Glide is a chopper style cruiser. It is powered by an air-cooled 1,338 cc (82 cubic inches) V-Twin engine which puts out 47.6 bhp at 4,900 rpm and maximum torque at just 2,400 rpm.

Features include:

  • Belt final drive
  • Steel tubular frame and swingarm
  • 300 mm disc up front with four piston caliper
  • 292 mm disc at the rear with four piston caliper
  • 49 mm fork
  • Dual rear shocks
  • Analogue dash
  • Chopped rear fender
  • Forward mounted pegs
  • Raked out front end
  • Ape hanger bars
  • 2->2 exhaust system
  • 5 speed gearbox

The wire-spoked 21" front wheel takes a Michelin Scorcher 80/90 tyre and the rear 17" a 180/60.

Colours: Black, silver, blue, red, white

Did You Know?

It celebrates Harley's 90th anniversary, the wide spacing of the fork gives it the name and they usually have some sort of flame paintjob.

  • 1999: 1,450 cc (88 cubic inches) engine.
  • 2006: 6 speed gearbox.
  • 2007: Rubber mounted 1,584 cc engine (96 cubic inches), 72 bhp, maximum torque at 3,500 rpm, fuel injection and analogue + LCD dash.
  • 2012: Standard ABS, 680 mm seat height and 295 kg dry.
  • 2013: 1,690 cc (103 cubic inches) engine, 75 bhp and peak torque at 3,250 rpm.
  • 2017: Battery tender harness.
