Tell us a bit about you

I'm 54 year old female, 5 foot high and I am currently riding on L plates. I have been riding for 11 months and this is my first bike.

Why did you choose it?

I liked the style, the colour (candy plasma blue) and it's not to heavy to handle. I saw it, I wanted it, I bought it.

What is good about it?

It is good on fuel, it is easy to handle, it loves corners and it hasn't let me down yet.

What could be improved?

When I was new to riding I stalled the bike quiet a few times, a couple of times on busy roundabouts, there is no hazard light switch. Being a 125 and a bike that learners will use, why is there no hazard switch?

I have kept the bike covered from new but the gear lever and back brake pedal have rusted pretty quick.

Any mods or upgrades?

Nothing yet.

What is the economy like?

Very good.

How is the engine?

It hasn't let me down yet, very reliable.

How does it handle?

It handles very nicely.

What are the brakes like?

The brakes are smooth.

Is it comfortable?

This bike is very comfortable. No back ache or leg cramps during or after riding.

How reliable have you found it?

I have had this bike for one year from brand new, it starts first time every time. It has not let me down.

What's the servicing frequency and cost like?

I missed the 600 mile service due to the pandemic. I contacted my Kawasaki dealer and they advised it was safe to ride to 1,000 miles. When I got the bike serviced it cost me £95 including oil filter change. Next service due in 10 months.

To Sum Up

It is an amazing first bike. Not too heavy, very comfortable and a pleasure to ride. Well worth the money.
