Lexmoto LXR 125 Euro 5 2021

Tell us a bit about you

I'm a 51 year old male standing at 5'9 and I have been riding bikes for well over 25 years with a break to raise a family.

Why did you choose it?

I'd been reading reviews for some time about these bikes and there didn't seem to be that many issue's or negative comments.

What is good about it?

The ride height for myself is fantastic, this frame also houses the 380 cc version. There is no difference apart from the engine size. At 820 mm this suits the more taller rider or long legs.

The bike is setup great, it corners well on the 17 inch tyres, which again are bigger than your usual 125.

The brakes work perfectly with dual discs on the front, combined braking is a bit strange at first, but you don't really notice after a while. These are head turners for sure.

What could be improved?

At the moment nothing for me.

Any mods or upgrades?

No mods or upgrades at this moment in time.

What is the economy like?

It's great on fuel, I'm currently averaging 50-60 miles per gallon.

How is the engine?

The engine is smooth and what helps is new 6 speed gearbox.

How does it handle?

The handling is superb. I have a lot of confidence in this bike and as an experienced rider I was very surprised.

What are the brakes like?

The brakes work perfectly with dual discs on the front, combined braking is a bit strange at first, but you don't really notice after a while.

Is it comfortable?

Its a sports bike so it's never made for long distance, but I've managed a good hour and felt okay.

My knees are tucked in well just under the tank and the foot pegs have great grip.

How reliable have you found it?

So far very reliable, no issues.

What's the servicing frequency and cost like?

Servicing is being followed by the Lexmoto manual. First service at 318 miles / 511 km, which I've yet to reach. After talking to owners of the same model, the servicing costs are not bad.

To Sum Up

As a 125 this is a fantastic bike. It certainly turns heads, as this does look like a 400 or 500 cc bike. It also sounds bigger with the standard exhaust. A reliable all rounder in my opinion.
