What Is It?
The Suzuki GSX-R1100 is a dedicated sports bike. It is powered by an air / oil cooled 1,052 cc inline four engine which puts out 123.4 bhp at 9,500 rpm and maximum torque at 8,000 rpm.
Features include:
- Aluminium frame and swingarm
- Dual 310 mm discs up front with four piston calipers
- 220 mm disc at the rear with single piston caliper
- Adjustable 41 mm fork with electronic anti-dive
- Adjustable rear shock
- Steering damper
- Mikuni Flatslide CV carbs
- Dual analogue dash
- Clip-on handlebars
- Side stand
- 4->1 exhaust system
- 5 speed gearbox
The 6-spoke 18" wheels take a 110/80 tyre at the front and a 150/70 at the rear.
Colours: Black, white/blue, red/black, purple/red

- 1989: "Slingshot 1000K" model, 1,127 cc engine, 138 bhp at 9,000 rpm, stiffer frame, Nissin calipers and 12,000 red line.
- 1990: Improved frame and new fairings.
- 1993: "WP" model, 1,074 cc engine, liquid cooling, 150 bhp, 221 kg dry and six piston front calipers.
- 1996: New braced swingarm, 43 mm fork, improved mid-range and -10 kg.
