What Is It?

The BMW F650GS is a mid-range adventure bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 652 cc single cylinder four stroke engine which puts outs 50 bhp at 6,800 rpm and maximum torque 5,200 rpm.

Features include:

  • Steel tubular frame and swingarm
  • 300 mm disc up front with Brembo two piston caliper
  • 240 mm disc at the rear with Brembo single piston caliper
  • 41 mm fork with 170 mm travel
  • Rear monoshock with 165 mm travel and remote adjuster
  • Adjustable clutch lever
  • Centre and side stand
  • Sump guard
  • Fuel injection
  • 1->2 exhaust system
  • 5 speed gearbox

The wire-spoked 19" front wheel takes a 100/90 tyre and the rear 17" a 130/80.

Accessories include the ABS system with off-mode, 750 mm low seat, 820 mm high seat, tall screen, heated grips, 12V socket, panniers, topbox, tank bag, handguards and luggage rack.

Colours: Black, silver, red, orange, blue/yellow, white/black

Did You Know?

The engine is made by Rotax and unusually the fuel tank is under the seat.

2002: Dakar edition with 21" front wheel, more suspension travel, 870 mm seat height, handguards, black screen, 12V socket and a special paintjob.

2004: Improved fuelling and reduced emissions. ABS II system.
