What Is It?

The Honda Super Blackbird is a premium sports touring bike and is often called the Gentleman's Express. It's powered by a liquid cooled 1,137 cc inline four engine, producing 164 bhp at 10,000 rpm and maximum torque at 7,250 rpm. The engine has dual balancer shafts and is mounted directly to the frame.

Features include:

  • Aluminium frame and swingarm
  • Dual 310 mm discs up front with three piston calipers
  • 256 mm disc at the rear with three piston caliper
  • Combined braking system
  • 43 mm fork with adjustable pre-load
  • Adjustable rear shock
  • 6 speed gearbox

The model is often praised for build quality, finish and riding comfort. It held the record for fastest production bike until it was toppled in 1999 by the GSX1300R Hayabusa, shortly before the gentleman's agreement between the main players to limit top speeds to 186 mph in 2000.

The 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre at the front and 180/55 at the rear.

Colours: Silver, blue, black, red, black/silver
