What Is It?
The Honda Goldwing GL1100 is a premium touring bike. It's powered by a liquid cooled 999 cc four cylinder Boxer engine which puts out 76.3 bhp at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque at 5,500 rpm.
Features include:

- Steel tubular frame and swingarm
- Dual 232 mm discs up front with two piston calipers
- 250 mm disc at the rear with single piston caliper
- 37 mm fork with 148 mm travel
- Dual rear shocks with 84 mm travel and adjustable pre-load
- 32 mm Keihin carbs
- Dual analogue dash
- Electric starter
- Centre stand
- 4->2 exhaust system
- 5 speed gearbox
The wire-spoked 19" front wheel takes a 3.50 tyre and the rear 17" a 4.50.
Colours: Black, red, yellow, blue
Did You Know?Honda built the GL1000 as an engineering exercise to see what what was possible. The top of the faux tank opens up to reveal some storage space and the actual fuel tank is mounted low down behind the engine to keep the weight low.

- 1977: 5-spoke cast wheels, tank mounted fuel gauge, Chrome exhaust, slightly de-tuned engine, 31 mm carbs and 273 kg dry.
