What Is It?

The Honda Vultus is a premium maxi scooter with a dash of manga / cruiser styling and is closely related to the more conventional NC750D Integra. It's powered by a Euro 3 compliant liquid cooled 745 cc parallel twin engine, producing 54 bhp at 6,250 rpm and maximum torque at 4,750 rpm.

Features include:

  • Steel tubular frame
  • 320 mm wavy disc up front with two piston caliper
  • 240 mm wavy disc at the rear with single piston caliper
  • Dual channel ABS system
  • 43 mm fork with 125 mm travel
  • Pro-link rear shock with 100 mm travel
  • LED lights front and back
  • 6 speed DCT gearbox

The Vultus is in a class of its own, a cross between the Honda 750 Integra and the futuristic styling of Japanese manga, although it reminds us more of Judge Dredd.

Even the usually boring bits are interesting on the Vultus, especially the super smooth Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). You can choose from full automatic D mode for simple scooter like control, the more sporty S mode or the MT mode with manual changes via up and down buttons on the handlebar. It's only part scooter really though because there's no CVT or belt drive, instead conventional gears like an automatic gearbox on a car.

The dash features the usual speedo, revs, gear position indicator and outside temperature but it also changes colour depending on the drive mode selected; white for neutral, blue for automatic drive, pink for S and red for manual. In total there are 25 colours to choose from.

Another cool feature is the pillion seat, which once unlocked with the key flips up into an adjustable backrest. It can lock into three angles and slide over a 25 mm range.

Storage is impressive with the front bodywork containing two sizeable cubbyholes, on the left is a 1 litre lockable with a 12V socket, while the right is 3 litres and not lockable. The 10-spoke 18" front wheel takes a 120/70 tyre and the 17" rear a 200/50.

Accessories include the heated grips, tall screen, alarm and integrated 14 litre panniers.

Colours: Black

Did You Know?

In Latin Vultus means an expression or look. It's also basically the bike from GTA V and features as a concept in the 2017 movie Ghost in the Shell.
