What Is It?

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure is a premium adventure bike and is powered by a Euro 3 compliant liquid cooled 1,301 V-Twin engine which puts out 158.2 bhp at 8,750 rpm and maximum torque at 6,750 rpm.

  • Dual 330 mm discs up front with Brembo four piston calipers
  • 267 mm disc at the rear with Brembo two piston caliper
  • Bosch 9ME cornering ABS system
  • Semi-active WP 48 mm upside down fork with 200 mm travel
  • Semi-active WP shock with 200 mm travel
  • Ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road (100 bhp)
  • 4-level traction control with off mode

It builds on the 1190 Adventure with a 106 cc larger engine, 11 bhp more power, 7 litres more fuel capacity, 70 miles more range, cornering lights and an advanced electronics package however it weighs 36 kg more.

The wire-spoked 19" front wheel takes a Continental TrailAttack 2 120/70 tyre and the rear 17" a 170/60.

Accessories include the comfort seat, heated seats, heated grips, hill hold control, Motor Slip Regulator, short screen, headlight protector, centre stand, radiator guard, heavy duty wheels and Aluminium luggage.
