What Is It?
The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is a stylish sports touring bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 1,042 cc V-Twin engine which puts out 113 bhp. A hefty 90% of the power is available from just 3,500 rpm.
Features include:
- Steel tubular frame with single-sided Aluminium shaft drive
- Dual discs up front with Brembo four piston calipers
- Disc at the rear with Brembo two piston caliper
- Cornering ABS system
- Marelli 11MP ECU
- Upside down fork
- Adjustable rear monoshock
- 5" TFT dash
- Ride modes: Rain, Road, Travel, Sport
- 4-level traction control
- 3-level engine braking control
- Cruise control
- LED lighting all round + cornering lights
- Side stand
- 2->1 exhaust system
- 6 speed gearbox with gear position indicator
The party piece here isn't radar controlled cruise control but the first mainstream use of adaptive aerodynamics on a production bike. Alongside the electronically adjustable screen there are electronically controlled flaps either side of the fuel tank which open up, depending on the selected ride mode, to offer up to 22% more wind protection to the rider and all without sacrificing the looks.
Accessories include the Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic suspension, matching panniers, quickshifter, heated grips and connectivity. The top trim includes the fancy suspension, quickshifter, heated grips and connectivity.
The 5-spoke 17" wheels take a Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV 120/70 tyre at the front and a 190/55 at the rear.
Colours: Green/silver, red
Did You Know? It's called the V100 to mark Moto Guzzi's centenary and it will be made in Italy. "Mandello" references where the engines are made in Mandello del Lario and remarkably it's 10 cm shorter than the smaller 853 cc lump in the V85 TT.
