K1600GT SE Review
I've had a few R1200RT bikes and love them; but, I'd borrowed K1600GT last year while my bike was being serviced. I love the growl from the exhausts and the performance is outstanding.
Power
It’s best described as the nearest thing to time travel you'll find. On the RT you look to the distance, wind on the throttle and you arrive; on the GT, you look to the distance wind up the throttle and... it's behind you.
Handling
Totally effortless riding, silky smooth acceleration and the level of accessories are beyond belief. It even has a reverse gear, bit of a gimmick? Not a bit, loaded up with pillion and luggage makes manoeuvring effortless.
Equipment
As I was brought up on crash gear boxes I couldn't get on with the quick shifter. I am old school, can change gear seamlessly and better than the quick shifter. Maybe I just need to get used to it. Time will tell..
