What Is It Like?

Kawasaki J300 2019MY

About me

I'm a 62 year old male, 5'7", riding since 1975 over a dozen bikes.

Why did you choose it?

It's difficult to manage motorcycle these days and I quite like scooters.

What is good about it?

  • Scooter convenience with motorcycle reliability
  • Glorious seat
  • Pulls well
  • Handles well

What could be improved?

  • Speedo
  • Mirrors
  • No feet forward facility

What is the economy like?

Very good.

Any mods or upgrades?

I have added mirror extenders.

How is the engine?

Sounds nice and runs smoothly.

How does it handle?

I run out of talent before it runs out of grip.

What are the brakes like?

Excellent.

Is it comfortable?

Oh yes!

How reliable have you found it?

Excellent so far.

What's the servicing frequency and cost like?

I probably won't do the mileage to get to the usual service periods, so will probably go for once a year.

How would you sum up the model?

Really excellent. I'm sure it could take a 500 engine with few modifications - hope so for when I come to change next.
