What Is It Like?
Lexmoto Pegasus 300 2020
About me
I'm a 55 year old male, 5'10" height and I've been riding for 10 years. Mopeds as a young man and owning 4 bikes in 10 years since passing test.
Why did you choose it?
- I've heard recent good reviews about Lexmoto models
- Great price
What is good about it?
- Smooth engine
- Great dash
- Good build quality
What could be improved?
A taller screen
What is the economy like?
70 MPG
Any mods or upgrades?
No mods yet.
How is the engine?
The engine is very smooth.
How does it handle?
Excellent handling and great at low speed.
What are the brakes like?
The brakes are very good, both rear and front.
Is it comfortable?
Yes, with a thick padded seat and great riding position.
How reliable have you found it?
I've only had one problem with a starter relay fault.
What's the servicing frequency and cost like?
I've only had the 300 mile service at £32, but it can vary from dealer to dealer.
To sum up
I used to have a Suzuki Burgman 400 before the Pegasus. I don't know if it was just mine, but it had vibrations pulling away and was nowhere near as smooth and comfortable as the Pegasus.
I have only owned the Pegasus for two months, but up to now I have been extremely happy with it.
One thing that I would like Lexmoto to do is make a taller screen for it. The Burgman kept the wind off my body where the Pegasus doesn't. This is my one and only complaint.

Price Guide
The Second Opinion
Lexmoto Pegasus 300 2021
About Me
I'm a 59 year old male, height 5’9.
Your biking experience to date?
I have been riding 43 years and previously owned a Honda Varadero 1000.
Why did you choose it?
Having 3 damaged discs and an arthritic hip, I needed something lightweight, step through and with reasonable performance. The Pegasus is fun to ride and handles very well. Fantastic value.
What is good about it?
Build quality and performance for the price.
What could be improved?
Everyone complains that the only fault is the low windscreen and lack of luggage capability. I researched and found that the bike is available all around the world as the ‘Taro Explorer’ and many more accessories are available
I have imported a large screen and luggage rack to which I have fitted a top box and panniers. The bike now performs as it should.
Any mods or upgrades?
Windscreen, luggage rack, top box, panniers and a quad lock for photo/ nav.
What is the economy like?
75 mpg with circa 225 mile range.
How is the engine?
Quiet and it pulls well for a 300 cc.
How does it handle?
Surprisingly well for a scooter.
What are the brakes like?
Excellent
Is it comfortable?
Yes.
How reliable have you found it?
No problems to date.
What's the servicing frequency and cost like?
More frequent than I would like, but inexpensive.
To Sum Up
Once you have fitted a higher screen and luggage, I would suggest that you have the best in class for the price.

A Few More Thoughts
About me
I'm an older biker from the 70's and 80's but this suits me just fine for work travel. I needed a bigger scoot than an 125 cc for dual carriage way's and A roads.
What's good?
I have owned my Pegasus 300 since early October. I find it very comfortable to ride and think the TFT screen is brilliant. You change the colours to suit your mood etc.
I can get my lunch bag and full face helmet under the seat, which is held up with two gas struts, it has LED lights all round and ABS brakes.
How is the engine?
Very smooth uptake although I'm still running in so haven't stretched it out as yet.
What could be improved?
The Pegasus could do with a taller screen for sure, and I'm currently waiting for the manufacturer to get a rear top box rack sorted out.
To sum up
I think it's brilliant and competitively priced.
