What Is It?

The Suzuki Burgman 400 is an A2 licence friendly premium maxi scooter and is powered by a liquid cooled 399 cc single cylinder engine, producing 33 bhp at 7,300 rpm and maximum torque at 5,800 rpm.

Features include:

  • Automatic CVT gearbox with belt drive
  • Dual 260 mm discs up front with Nissin two piston calipers
  • 210 mm disc at the rear with Nissin single piston caliper
  • ABS system
  • 41 mm telescopic fork with 110 mm travel
  • Rear shock with 100 mm travel
  • Ignition cover coded to the key

Compared to the 1999-2006 model there's a higher capacity engine, 1 bhp more power, new higher seat height of 710 mm (up 15 mm), 0.5 litres higher fuel capacity, larger front wheel, new lights, bodywork and taillight.

There is also a new screen offering better wind protection, a new dashboard design and dual front discs.

Storage is still excellent with 62 litres under the seat for two full face helmets and there are three glove boxes as well. One is large, lockable and has 12V power for charging your mobile.

The 14" front wheel takes a 120/80 tyre and the rear 13" wheel a 150/70.

Accessories include heated grips (£250), knuckle guards (£100), 15 mm lower seat (£300), pillion backrest (£185), rear spoiler (£85), heated seat (£500) and top case (£150)

The special edition Burgman 400Z comes in black and adds a few extras. You get a tinted sports screen, heated grips, hand guards, rear Aluminium spoiler, black wheels and white dashboard.

Colours: Black, white, silver, blue
