What Is It?
The Triumph Speed Triple T309 is a naked bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 885 cc triple engine, producing 96.7 bhp at 9,000 rpm and maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. It's a stressed member of the frame.
Features include:
- Steel tubular frame
- Dual 310 mm discs up front with Nissin two piston calipers
- 255 mm disc at the rear with two piston caliper
- Adjustable 43 mm Kayaba fork with 150 mm travel
- Rear shock with 126 mm travel
- Three 36 mm Mikuni flat side carbs
- 3->2 exhaust system with black finish Aluminium mufflers
- 5 speed gearbox
Triumph's T309 is basically a Daytona 900 without the fairing and shares both the engine and chassis with the Daytona and Trident models.
The 3-spoke 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre at the front and a 180/55 at the rear.

Model History & Updates
1996: 6 speed gearbox and new adjustable shock.
1997: For one year only, Triumph stuck their leftover 89 bhp 749 cc Daytona engines into the chassis, but these are extremely rare.
