What Is It?

The Yamaha FS1-E is a naked style bike and is powered by an air-cooled 49 cc single cylinder two stroke engine which puts out 4.8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque at 6,500 rpm.

Features include:

  • 110 mm drum brake at the rear
  • 26 mm standard fork

  • 16 mm Mikuni carb
  • Braced handlebars

  • Kick starter

  • 1->1 exhaust system
  • 4 speed gearbox

The wire-spoked 17" front wheel takes a 2.25 tyre and the rear a 2.50.

Did You Know?

The "E" in the model name denotes the FS1 designed for England, often referred to as Fizzie and around 200,000 were produced. It can actually be powered by the pushbike pedals as well as the engine, which once rotated form the normal pegs under engine power.

Model History & Updates

1976: Front disc brake.

1977: Pedals removed and top speed limited to 28 mph.
