What Is It?

The Yamaha TDM900 is an adventure style bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 897 cc parallel twin engine which puts out 85 bhp at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque at 6,000 rpm.

Features include:

• Aluminium frame and swingarm
• Dual 298 mm discs up front with four piston calipers
• 248 mm disc at the rear with single piston caliper
• Adjustable 43 mm fork with 150 mm travel
• Adjustable rear shock with 133 mm travel
• Fuel injection
• Luggage rack
• Analogue / LCD dash
• Adjustable brake lever
• 2->2 exhaust system
• 6 speed gearbox

Compared to the TDM850 there's a new 29% lighter Aluminium frame replacing the old Steel frame, fuel injection, improved brakes from the R1, a new gearbox with 6th gear, a new dash and a 49 cc larger engine with 5% more power and 11% more torque. Overall it's 11 kg lighter, massively improving the power to weight ratio.

The 3-spoke 18" front wheel takes a 120/70 tyre and the rear 17" a 160/60.
