What Is It?
The Yamaha YZ125 is a motocross style off-road bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 124 cc single cylinder two stroke engine which puts out 34 bhp at 11,600 rpm and peak torque at 11,000 rpm.
Features include:
- Aluminium frame and swingarm
- 250 mm wavy disc up front with two piston caliper
- 245 mm wavy disc at the rear with single piston caliper
- Adjustable 48 mm KYB upside down dual chamber fork with 300 mm travel
- Adjustable rear KYB piggyback shock with 315 mm travel
- Mikuni 38 mm TMX carb
- Kick starter
- Renthal handlebar
- 6 speed gearbox
- 1->1 exhaust system
The wire-spoked 21" front wheel takes a Dunlop D756 80/80 tyre and the rear 19" a 100/90.

Model History & Updates
2006: KYB SSS fork and power boost.
2022: Larger brake discs, new cylinder head, 1 bhp power boost, Keihin PWK38S carb, updated fork internals, flatter seat, Bridgestone Battlecross X20 tyres, new exhaust system and new air intake.
