What Is It?
The Honda CRF450R is a dedicated off-road motocross style bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 449 cc single cylinder four stroke engine which puts out 55 bhp at 9,000 rpm and maximum torque at 7,000 rpm.
Features include:
- Aluminium frame and swingarm
- 240 mm wavy disc up front with two piston caliper
- 240 mm wavy disc at the rear with single piston caliper
- Adjustable 47 mm Showa upside down fork with 305 mm travel
- Adjustable Showa rear shock with 315 mm travel
- Keihin 40 mm flat-side carb
- Kick starter
- 1->1 exhaust system
- 5 speed gearbox
The wire-spoked 21" front wheel takes a Dunlop MX51FA 80/100 tyre and the rear 19" a MX51 110/90.

Model History & Updates
2003: Longer and stiffer rear shock, 7 mm higher swingarm pivot, 27 degree steeper steering head angle, + 10 mm seat height, new airbox, shorter muffler, new camshaft and small power bump.
2005: Redesigned engine with improved low end power, new slimmer and lighter frame, 7.2 litre tank, 960 mm seat height and 99 kg dry.
2009: Fuel injection, new KYB AOS fork, 5.7 litre tank and 106 kg dry.
2013: New 1->2 exhaust system for improved mass centralisation, new lighter KYB air fork, 120/80 rear tyre, 6.3 litre tank and 110 kg wet.
2017: Redesigned uni-cam engine, optional electric starter, Titanium fuel tank and 49 mm Showa coil spring fork.
2019: Launch control.
2021: Oval exhaust port, 58 bhp, 1->1 exhaust system, 3 ride modes, traction control with off mode, beefier clutch, slimmer frame / swingarm and 106 kg wet.
