Tell us a bit about you
I'm a 55 year old male, 5'11" and I have been riding bikes all my life. Countless bikes!
Why did you choose it?
I had a BMW GS1250 Adventure but I wasn’t really using it so I traded for the C400 X which I use for work.
What is good about it?
- Heated grips and seat
- Keyless start
- TFT dash
What could be improved?
Nothing that I can think of.
Any mods or upgrades?
None.
What is the economy like?
I use it for a daily 20 mile commute and have to fuel it every week. It takes £12 to fill.
How is the engine?
Its good with smooth power. I had a problem with idling when cold and it was cutting out, still not 100 percent.
How does it handle?
Excellent and really good fun however the traction control isn't the best.
What are the brakes like?
Double discs up front so plenty of stopping power.
Is it comfortable?
Very.
How reliable have you found it?
The reliability overall is good.
What's the servicing frequency and cost like?
It's expensive at £190 for oil, filter and brake fluid change.
To Sum Up
I like the C400 X a lot and it does most things well.
