What Is It?

The Suzuki SV1000 is a popular naked bike and is powered by a liquid cooled 996 cc V-Twin engine which puts out 114.5 bhp at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque at 7,000 rpm.

Features include:

• Aluminium frame and swingarm
• Dual 310 mm discs up front with four piston calipers
• 220 mm disc at the rear with single piston caliper
• Adjustable 46 mm fork
• Adjustable rear piggyback shock
• Steering damper
• Low RPM assist
• LCD / Analogue dash
• 2->2 exhaust system
• 6 speed gearbox

It's also available as the SV1000S with a mini fairing and dual headlight.

The 3-spoke 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre at the front and a 180/55 at the rear.

Colours: Black, silver, blue, red

It re-purposes the engine from the TL1000S.

Model History & Updates

2004: New subframe, 20 mm lower seat, smaller plate hangar and 2 kg knocked off the weight.

2005: SV1000SZ special edition with a full fairing, slightly more power and a GSX-R paintjob.
