What Is It?

The Yamaha MT-07 is a popular mid-range naked bike and is powered by a Euro 5 compliant liquid cooled 689 cc parallel twin engine, producing 72.4 bhp at 8,750 rpm and maximum torque at 6,500 rpm.

Features include:

  • Steel tubular frame and Aluminium swingarm
  • Dual 298 mm discs up front with four piston calipers
  • 245 mm disc at the rear with Nissin single piston caliper
  • ABS system
  • Non-adjustable 41 mm KYB fork with 130 mm travel
  • Rear shock with adjustable rebound and 130 mm travel
  • LCD dash
  • LED lighting all round
  • 6 speed gearbox with gear position indicator
  • 2->1 exhaust system

Compared to the 2018-2020 model there's a few Euro 5 tweaks, a larger exhaust system with an extra catalytic convertor, it makes 1.4 bhp less at 250 rpm lower down the range, the now non-wavy front discs are 16 mm bigger and the bars are 32 mm wider.

There's also a heat shield on the down pipes, a funky new single LED headlight, LED indicators, black levers, new premium tyres and a new inverted LCD dash however it's 2 kg heavier.

The 10-spoke 17" wheels take a Michelin Road 5 120/70 tyre at the front and a 180/55 at the rear.

Accessories include the Akrapovic exhaust system (£1,349), knuckle guards (£317), comfort seat (£220), 28 mm higher seat (£132), 39 litre top box (£145), heated grips (£145), Moto-GP style exhaust cover (£117), chain guard (£100), fly screen (£60) and a range of billet parts.
